STEPS Romania  26 May-2 June 2007

There were 14 people in the STEPS May team.

They hired in a digger to clear the area around the building and build a ramp for a footpath to the front door.  The old metal fence at the front had to be removed.

The following week the police caught two men taking the scrap fence away on a horse and cart!

As well as tough builders, the team had a qualified electrician and carpenters. The top floor was wired, a staircase and steps to the front door were made. One toilet was fitted out.

A splendid slide for the children was also built.

Time was spent with the Roma gypsy children visiting the centre and the National Children's Day was celebrated with a big party.
