STEPS Romania 2005

This page reports on progress at the Fair Play children’s hostel during 2005.

Introduction

For the last three years we have been refurbishing the Fair Play hostel in Constanta, Romania.  The roof has been sealed, the walls sealed, insulated and painted and all the windows double-glazed.  Most of the rooms and toilets on the four children’s floors have been refurbished, and there are workshop, sewing and computer rooms.  2005 has seen the completion of our work at Fair Play.  We are proud of what we have achieved, but now need to move on to another project.  We will not loose touch with our friends at Fair Play.

Three teams have worked at the hostel this year. The dates for first team of 17 people were 27 May to 4 June, and the second team of 13 people were 3 to 11 June, some people are covering both weeks.  A third team of 11 people worked at Fair Play from 15 to 22nd October.
